The concept

*Runback* is the walk back up to the top of the bank. Every clip you have ever watched shows the four seconds that worked; what actually happened was an hour, and fifty-one minutes of it was the walk back up. That is where the session lives, and it is what the zine prints. So the editorial position writes itself: we print the bails. A zine full of makes is an advert. Half of this issue is people not landing it, and nobody in it is sponsored — everyone has a job on Monday.

Typeface: Archivo Black — an ultra-heavy grotesque with no subtlety at all, which is exactly right for a headline someone photocopied. Courier Prime 400/700/italic for *all* body copy: a typewriter face, because a zine is typed and pasted, not designed. Paragraphs are kept short so the monospace never becomes a chore.
Cursor — The attempt counter: - The attempt counter (above). - Deck cursor. A rounded pill with two small wheels underneath that **banks toward the direction of travel** — vertical mouse velocity is clamped to ±26° and eased into a rotation. On hover it turns hot and compresses, like weighting the tail. - Halftone canvas. A grid of dots at 13px pitch whose radius is driven by two interfering sine waves plus scroll position, drawn in multiply so it darkens the page like a print screen rather than sitting on top of it. Not particles at all — the only field in the library built from a fixed grid. - Per-character heading — faster and looser than the other builds (44ms per character, ±24° yaw) because the subject is kinetic.
